Man has always seen in myths entities born for his sake, entities that came to the world to offer him life, passion, redemption and salvation. So people arrested their deities, as beings of inexhaustible fertility with abundant riches at their disposal. Dimitra protected Georgia, Artemis offered the hunt, the god Panas was guiding the farmers, Hestia protected the family, Neptune dominated the seas, Asklipios was treating people, Apollo calmed them with music, Hephaestus taught them fire and how to use it. So the Greeks had an advantage. To be taught by the gods and to use the raw materials offered by Mother Earth.

The gods, in addition to conferring upon the man the title of King of the earth, offer him various benefits, which without them could not have been civilization. The gods filled the seas and the rivers with fish, fertilized in the fields, created the seeds, and by various means devolved to the people the basic tools, such as plow, yoke, mold, trowel and other basic survival tools, as well and wheat, medicine, fire, writing, the arts, etc.

Consumption of the earth's plants and the magic of cooking were revealed through the use of fire that until then they knew only of the fires that blew the lightning of Zeus. Thanks to the fire the man was saved and this was a gift of Prometheus that took her from the gods. Fire quickly spread and became an integral part of human technology, as it began to be used not only for warmth but also for food cooking, lighting and creation of new utensils and objects. Cooking changed the social habits of the man who began to share his food around the fire. With the growth of agriculture, about 10,000 years ago, our diet has evolved to include the foods we now consider as basic commodities ...
